TRANSPORT

Keath Angkor Tours has private transportation for guided tours and transfers to the airport. Both the tours to the city of Angkor and the airport transfers are made in Tuk Tuk.

Nothing like a trip on Tuk Tuk

Normally used in tropical developing countries, Tuk Tuk is a means of urban transport. These motorized vehicles, known by different names, among which the most famous is perhaps "rickshaw", have earned this popular name due to the sound they make when moving. Currently, with its rapid expansion in the tourism sector, these vehicles for several people are the next big news, as they have many advantages to get to know the cities quickly and easily. Although there are different models, the original "rickshaw" was a wheeled cart pushed by a man.

In the nineteenth century was a means of transport widely used, but its popularity was declining with the invention of cars and other public transport motor. However, during the twentieth century this humble and ancient form of transport reappears with the invention of motor and pedal versions.

During the Second World War, taxi services in "rickshaw" arise as a response to the low supply of oil. Motorized rickshaws, or tuk tuks, are the vehicles most commonly used as taxis on the Asian, African and South American continents. They can have two, three or four wheels and in each country there is a different popular name for this vehicle. In Tanzania and Cambodia they are known as "bajaji", in Madagascar as "tik tik" and in Bangladesh as "baby taxi", and in all these countries their decoration is already an art form.

In recent years, these vehicles have arrived in Europe, where they are normally used for rent or in the tourism sector. Local Tuk Tuk vehicles have three wheels to ensure the safety and comfort necessary for your tours. With an ergonomic design and a modern and elegant style, the tuk tuks are equipped with padded seats and are convertible, for a better adaptation to different weather conditions. These vehicles are improved and larger motorcycles, aimed at groups, and designed to replace the large vehicles or buses on which the tours are made. Our fleet has tuk tuks with capacity to transport between two and six people and are, mostly, electric and ecological vehicles.
